We are a growing construction company specializing in waterfront construction, including custom boat docks and marinas, as well as residential remodeling and select new construction projects. We take pride in producing quality craftsmanship, maintaining a strong work ethic, and delivering exceptional results for our clients throughout the Smith Mountain Lake area.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced carpenter who is skilled in both framing and finish carpentry. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of work and takes pride in building projects from the ground up.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Construct and repair boat docks, marinas, and other waterfront structures.
* Perform residential framing for remodels, additions, and new construction.
* Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry.
* Read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
* Measure, cut, and install materials accurately.
* Safely operate hand tools and power equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized job site.
* Communicate professionally.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5-10 years of carpentry experience.
* Strong experience with wood framing and structural construction.
* Experience with finish carpentry, including trim installation.
* Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
* Must own basic hand tools.
* Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Comfortable working on and around water.
* Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.
Preferred Experience
* Boat dock or marina construction.
* Residential remodeling.
* New home construction.
* Equipment operation is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
* $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
* Full-time, year-round employment.
* 1099 Position
