Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Pour dental impressions into plaster to create accurate denture models.
- Trim and prepare plaster dental models for further laboratory procedures.
- Articulate dental cases and prepare cases for denture fabrication.
- Polish and finish dentures according to established laboratory procedures.
- Assist with the production of complete dentures, partial dentures, and removable dental prosthetics.
- Perform various dental laboratory duties as assigned.
- Maintain an organized and efficient dental laboratory workstation.
- Follow established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
- Follow OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures.
- Cross-train in other areas of the dental laboratory as needed.
- Work collaboratively with dental laboratory technicians and team members to complete cases efficiently.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Hands-On & Technical Skills
- Confident and comfortable working with your hands.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Mechanical ability and/or artistic ability.
- Ability to learn dental laboratory techniques, equipment, materials, and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented dental laboratory environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental lab while maintaining accuracy.
- Highly organized with good time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in multiple areas of the dental laboratory.
- Ability to follow instructions, established procedures, and laboratory safety standards.
- 0–6 months of experience trimming and pouring denture models preferred.
- Previous plaster bench experience preferred.
- Dental laboratory, dental assisting, manufacturing, crafts, mechanical, or other hands-on experience may be beneficial.
