Overview
Join our family as an Automotive Technician, where your mechanical expertise and passion for vehicle repair will drive customer satisfaction and safety. We are a family owned and operated business. We do light to medium automotive repair, brakes, suspension, transmission, or engine replacement, diagnosis, timing repair, tires, etc. We also have a full body shop and sell used cars. We have been in business at this location for 26 years and have built a very solid customer base. We are in need of an experienced mechanic well rounded in multiple makes and models, must have tools and certifications. Pay is based on skill and knowledge.
Duties
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as engine repairs, wheel alignments, welding, and vehicle suspension system repair.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Repair or replace vehicle components such as transmissions, engines, vehicle wiring, and other essential systems to restore optimal vehicle performance.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed using auto estimating software and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with powertrain, transmission system repair, vehicle suspension system repair, and engine repair.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, and auto estimating software is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic tools.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems including transmissions, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
