Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace tires using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Perform wheel alignments and balancing to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid top-offs
- Diagnose tire-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers
- Assist with automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical problems beyond tire service
- Support general vehicle maintenance tasks including suspension work and mechanical repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and answering questions confidently
Experience
- Dealership experience or background working in an automotive repair shop is highly preferred
- Proven mechanic experience with hands-on knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques for troubleshooting issues
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle components, including tires, brakes, suspension, and engines
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment effectively
- Service technician experience that demonstrates a strong commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tires or vehicle parts
- Basic sales skills to recommend additional services or products to customers is a plus
