Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and restoration, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs on vehicles, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening.
- Utilize welding and soldering techniques to repair metal components.
- Work with sheet metal to fabricate and install new parts as needed.
- Conduct auto estimating to assess damage and provide accurate repair quotes.
- Restore vehicles through painting, including airless paint spraying techniques.
- Assemble various vehicle components post-repair to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto body repair or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in mechanic skills and knowledge of automotive systems.
- Familiarity with auto restoration processes is a plus.
- Experience in auto glass installation is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for this position.
