OVERVIEW
Affogato House is a design-forward coffee and ice cream concept opening in New Rochelle, NY. We’re building a refined yet approachable space — a daily ritual for some, a slow indulgence for others. Our bar program leads with specialty espresso and craft affogatos, and everything we do is rooted in intention: the way a drink is made, the way a guest is greeted, the way a space feels.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, guest-facing role that lives at the intersection of hospitality and craft. You'll be scooping ice cream, assembling affogatos and sundaes, keeping the dining room running, and supporting the broader team during peak hours. This is an entry-level position — and a great one. We invest in people who show up with energy, care, and a desire to grow.
Note on the title: We call this role Café Associate because that's what it is. Ice cream is a significant part of the work — but so is floor flow, guest interaction, and general café support. You won't be standing behind a freezer case all day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
– Scoop ice cream and assemble affogatos, sundaes, and shakes with attention to presentation
– Support preparation of light savory items
– Maintain dining room cleanliness and guest flow throughout your shift
– Restock front-of-house items and assist baristas during rushes
– Support dishwashing and general café upkeep
– Deliver warm, knowledgeable service to every guest
WHO YOU ARE
– No prior café experience required — we'll train the right person
– Guest-service oriented: you notice when someone needs something before they ask
– Physically active and comfortable on your feet for full shifts

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Hourly tips. Part-time and full-time positions available. Weekend and evening availability strongly preferred for this role. Rate discussed during interview
Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
