Part-Time Experienced Mover

Affix Mover is seeking an experienced, dependable, and physically strong Mover to join our growing team. This is a part-time position where you will work directly alongside the owner on residential and commercial moving jobs.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, handles clients' belongings with care, and is comfortable performing physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Safely move furniture, appliances, boxes, and other household or office items.
• Lift and carry heavy furniture and boxes throughout the day, including up and down multiple flights of stairs.
• Load and unload moving trucks efficiently while ensuring items are properly secured.
• Disassemble and reassemble basic furniture when needed.
• Protect furniture, floors, walls, and other property from damage during moves.
• Provide professional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
• Work closely with the owner to complete each move safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous professional moving experience is required. Applicants without moving experience will not be considered.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy furniture and boxes.
• Comfortable working in residential homes and office environments.
• Able to safely climb stairs while carrying heavy items.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.

Transportation

• Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred.
• Transportation can be accommodated for qualified applicants who live in the Germantown, MD or Gaithersburg, MD area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with furniture assembly and disassembly.
• Experience with residential and commercial moves.
• Knowledge of proper packing, wrapping, and furniture protection techniques.
