What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Accountant position at Affirma Consulting?

This position will primarily support the senior accounting staff with collection activities, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of month-end financials. Other duties may include month-to-month variance analysis, database maintenance, and communicating with our engineering staff and project managers.
What we’re looking for specifically:
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Excel
• Problem solving and analysis
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced team environment
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Knowledge of accounting systems would be a plus
Type:
• Part-time position (the ideal candidate would be college student majoring in Accounting or Finance). Potential for school credit.
o Approximately 10-20 hours per week
• Flexible hours and work location (some work from home components)
• Industry: Business Consulting
