Affirm Leadership Christian Academy, all girls leadership academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to deliver high-quality, faith-based instruction to diverse scholars in an interactive and engaging online platform. The ideal candidate is scholar-centered, tech-savvy, and committed to fostering academic excellence and Christian character development.
Responsibilities
Deliver live virtual instruction onsite from our headquarters through the online platforms of Google Classroom and Zoom to small groups of 5-10 scholar cohorts
Prepare and implement lesson plans from our Academy's rigorous curriculum with the school’s academic standards and Christian values
Create a supportive, safe, and engaging virtual classroom that promotes scholar learning and engagement
Monitor scholar progress through assessments, assignments, and online interactions
Meet with scholars regularly through our hybrid schedule to provide, 1:1 instruction, academic intervention and promote social engagement
Provide timely feedback to scholars and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and scholar performance
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure a cohesive academic experience
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, professional development, and school events
Integrate Biblical principles and leadership development into daily instruction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification or credentials for certification completion
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience (virtual teaching experience preferred)
- Proficient in educational technology and virtual classroom tools
- Excellent written, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Strong commitment to Christian education and scholar development
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fast-pace learning environment
- Models a "whatever it takes" leadership posture
- Passion for mentoring and empowering young learners
- Experience with blended learning environments, or hybrid as well as, online learning tools (e.g., Google Classroom, Khan Academy, Renaissance Learning, and IXL (will also train on tools)
- Knowledge of portfolio-based assessment and documentation
- Creative approach to teaching through project-based and experiential learning
