On behalf of our Healthcare client, Affinity is seeking a Clinical Solutions Lead to drive solution design for Emergency Medicine workflows within an Oracle Health (Cerner) environment. This role will focus on high-acuity, fast-paced clinical workflows and optimizing system usability for emergency care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical design workshops with emergency physicians, nurses, and operational stakeholders
- Own end-to-end workflow design and solution decisions for the domain
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into system design and configuration direction
- Drive stakeholder alignment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure adherence to Oracle Health (Cerner) methodologies and iterative design cycles
- Partner with build/configuration teams to ensure accurate implementation
- Identify risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities within workflows
- Act as the primary accountable lead for the assigned clinical domain
- Design workflows supporting triage, patient tracking boards, and rapid documentation
- Configure and optimize order sets, clinical decision support, and emergency protocols
- Support high-throughput environments with a focus on speed, visibility, and efficiency
- Align workflows with patient flow initiatives (e.g., wait times, throughput, bed management)
- Ensure integration with ancillary systems (lab, imaging, pharmacy) for rapid diagnostics and treatment
- 5 years of Oracle Health / Cerner implementation experience
- Experience leading solution design across at least 2 full EHR/HIS/CIS implementations
- Experience supporting Emergency Department workflows
- Strong understanding of high-acuity clinical environments and patient flow
- Proven ability to lead fast-paced design workshops with clinical stakeholders
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Remote with travel (approximately 1 week per month onsite)
- Full-time (1.0 FTE)
