We're Hiring: Experienced Orthopedic Medical Biller
Affinity Med Solutions is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Medical Biller with a strong background in orthopedic billing to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys solving complex billing issues, and takes pride in maximizing reimbursement while providing exceptional service to our physician clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 years of orthopedic medical billing experience (required)
- Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance billing, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up
- Experience with out-of-network billing preferred
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, modifiers, and payer-specific billing guidelines
- Experience with appeals, denials, and insurance follow-up
- Familiarity with surgery, and orthopedic procedures is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Experience:
- Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) and No Surprises Act knowledge is a plus (training available for the right candidate)
- Experience working with high-volume orthopedic or ambulatory surgery practices
What You'll Do:
- Submit and manage insurance claims from start to finish
- Follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims
- Research and resolve claim denials
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding reimbursement issues
- Work closely with our team to maximize collections for orthopedic providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely claim resolution
