Exciting Temp/Temp-to-Hire Opportunity!
Our client is seeking to add a Training Specialist to support their HR team. In this role you will administer the Operator Qualification program, training program, and maintain training records. You will also coordinate, facilitate, and support training and development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and continuously review the Operator Qualification (OQ) training and maintain records pertaining to qualifications under the USDOT Operator Qualification Program.
- Identify personnel required to participate in the OQ Program.
- Assist in determination of contractor qualification under OQ guidelines within in project scope.
- Organize and develop training manual, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Maintain Company training records in compliance with governmental regulations and prepares statistical reports to evaluate appropriateness of existing training and assure the appropriate training is provided to each employee as required.
- Assist supervisory personnel in creating checklists used for personnel evaluation.
- Determine an individual's eligibility to Participate as an OQ Evaluator for the Company OQ Program.
- Coordinate development of interim training and evaluation program as defined by OQ guidelines.
- Administer Professional Certification Program.
- Register employees for training seminars and conferences as needed.
- Schedule classes, based on availability of classrooms, equipment, and instructors and evaluates technical training packages, including outline, text, and handouts written by instructors.
- Ensure equitable application of program guidelines to all employees.
- Maintain required training and certification(s) according to Company and OSHA Standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and strictly adheres to Company safety requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or technical training in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years corporate experience in a training related role.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel experience.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
