Travel Med Surg RN

Role: Med Surg RN responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient health conditions, monitor cardiac telemetry data, and document care activities.
• Administer medications, prepare patients for procedures, and assist physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Explain procedures to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
• Maintain a safe environment, follow infection control protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform discharge planning and coordinate with external resources for patient transitions.
• Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritize care based on acuity, and advocate for patient needs.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience and valid RN license.
• Current BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS preferred.
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, PC skills, and physical ability to perform nursing duties.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail.
