Role: Per-Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing patient care in various healthcare settings within the Hampton Roads area.
Key Responsibilities: Collect patient data, administer medications, reinforce patient education, provide wound and tracheostomy care, supervise unlicensed staff, collect specimen samples, ensure medical equipment functionality, communicate with healthcare providers, insert IVs, monitor intake/output, respond to emergencies, maintain narcotics logs, assist with activities of daily living, and supervise patient meals.
Additional Duties: Perform hygiene procedures, assist with mobility, transfer patients, record vital signs, and support patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications & Skills: Active LPN license, minimum one-year facility experience, BLS/CPR, recent PPD, COVID vaccination or weekly testing, ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods, and bend/lift without restrictions.
