Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse

We are hiring registered nurses (RNs) for all Post-Anesthesia Care Units (PACU), including Pediatric PACU, general PACU, and specialized units such as the Eye Surgery Center.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing direct patient care across diverse age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, in fast-paced environments.
• Performing assessments, initiating IVs, managing pain and airway, and ensuring patient safety and comfort post-surgery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.
• Assisting with tests, procedures, and emergency measures, while maintaining accurate medical records.
• Administering medications safely, adhering to policies, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Participating in orientation, precepting new staff, and fostering a positive work environment focused on quality care and safety.
  
  

Qualifications Include

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of New Mexico or reciprocal licensing.
• CPR/BLS certification, with verification requirements.
• Competency in IV verification within six months.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, bilingual skills, and specialty certifications.
