- Serving as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Performing comprehensive assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Completing accurate documentation and utilizing safety tools.
- Monitoring patient status and responding to changing conditions.
- Participating in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives.
- Delegating and supervising care activities, fostering teamwork and safety culture.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license in applicable state(s).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications like ACLS may be required.
- Preferred experience in perioperative or OR nursing, with strong communication and critical thinking skills.
