Performs routine to complex mammography procedures to produce high-quality breast images in compliance with regulatory standards.
Evaluates patient history and physician orders, assists with specialized procedures, and manages quality control checks on imaging systems.
Maintains accurate documentation within the Radiology Information System and communicates effectively with patients and staff to ensure a positive experience.
Provides training and supervision to radiologic students, identifies process improvements, and participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification in Radiography, and Texas licensure.
Preferably experienced in mammography, with advanced ARRT certification in Mammography within 12 months.
Must possess strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, and demonstrate patient-centered behaviors.
Maintains ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field.
Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards to ensure safe and effective imaging services.
