- Assess specimen acceptability and perform both routine and complex technical procedures
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
- Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and quality control materials
- Document preventative maintenance and generate accurate, timely test results
- Maintain a safe work environment and manage testing supplies
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- One or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
