Role: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) providing direct occupational therapy care in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities: Implement and follow occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). Chart patient progress accurately, utilize therapy software, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and ensure safety and sanitation standards. Assist in patient evacuation when needed and demonstrate professionalism and dependability.
Qualifications & Skills: NBCOT certification (renewal optional), graduate of an accredited OT program, current state licensure, CPR certification, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and good communication skills. New grads are encouraged to apply, with preferred experience in post-acute care. Must demonstrate good body mechanics, judgment, and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
