Finance Intern

  As a member of the Corporate Accounting Team, the Finance Intern is an everyday partner of multiple departments at the Corporate and Casino level, including: Marketing, Finance, IT, Human Resources, and Property Leadership.

Current college students, graduate students or recent graduates are sought for a summer paid internship. Applicants will be considered for finance and accounting roles.

This position is in office, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process invoices daily, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and compliance with purchasing and receiving policies.
• Assist AP specialists in reviewing vendor statements when necessary and identify/resolve discrepancies and past-due items.
• Match purchase orders, receivers, and invoices via the 3 way match process and investigating discrepancies and collaborating with AP specialists to resolve issues
• Verify accuracy of GL accounts, departments, and invoice details prior to posting.
• Maintain clean and timely invoice workflow in AP automation systems and ERP platforms.
• Support month-end closing tasks, including assistance in preparation of GL entries and recording invoices as part of AP close.
• Attend required training, adopt new systems, and provide feedback to help improve workflows and strengthen AP operations.
• Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions
• Attend meetings/training as required by management
• Perform other duties as requested by management

Education and Experience:

• Enrolled college or graduate student, preferably in Finance or Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• General understanding of financial reporting
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Fast learner of business, programs and concepts
• ‘Can-do’ attitude.
• Enthusiastic to apply aptitude to new learning experiences.
• Approaches challenges as learning opportunities, not obstacles to success.
