The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all accounts payable administrative functions. This includes reviewing purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and other documents to ensure that all purchases meet company policies and procedures.

Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all accounts payable administrative functions. This includes reviewing purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and other documents to ensure that all purchases meet company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Reviews statements weekly and investigates and resolves any outstanding issues.
- Checks on past due invoices weekly.
- Obtains original copies of purchase orders and matches same to related receiving materials.
- Performs accuracy verification of invoices received, general ledger account and department charged on all purchasing system batches.
- Reports deviations from established purchasing/receiving procedures to Accounting Manager.
- Posts and inputs invoice data into accounting software on a daily basis; verifies data is accurate and approved by outlet managers.
- Process and prepare payments and other on demand checks.
- Assists in the end of month closing process, including payments, reversals, re-classes and accruals.
- Post all pre-payments amortization once monthly reconciliation has been completed.
- Maintains complete records in an organized manner for proper record retention as per company policy.
- Files all documents and computer reports for future reference.
- Assists with 1099’s at year end.
- Maintain master vendor spreadsheet and add/suspend vendors as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Actively contributes to system implementations, integration initiatives, attends required technology training and adopts technology as required
