Job Summary
The Chiropractic Assistant supports the chiropractor and office operations by providing patient and office support. The Chiropractic Assistant plays a key role in creating a professional, efficient, and patient-centered environment while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and office policies. This position does not involve diagnosing conditions or performing chiropractic adjustments.
Duties
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain patient flow and communicate wait times
- Collect copays and payments, issue receipts, and verify insurance
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist patient positioning and comfort
- Apply modalities only if trained and permitted
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including filing
- Support billing staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
- Strong patient service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, people-oriented, healthcare environment
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Basic computer skills (email, scheduling systems, healthcare software)
- Prior experience in a chiropractic or medical office is preferred, but on-the-job training can be provided
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
