Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance, such as helping clients in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
- Monitor and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with basic exercises and physical therapy routines as directed by healthcare providers.
- Transport clients to doctor appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
- Document care provided and report changes in clients’ conditions to nursing staff or family members.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect clients and self.
- Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity in their own homes.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop and follow care plans.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including administering basic first aid or calling for medical help.
- Valid CNA Certification in NY (REQUIRED)
