- Preference given to experience in an urban community health setting.

Essential Functions
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Provides dental patient care and conduct dental clinic sessions.
- Performs general dental treatment, including minor dental surgery.
- Renders care consistent with principle of practice and in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
- Participates in record audit, quality assurance record reviews, and staff meetings.
- Maintains productivity and quality standards.
- Participates in developing / updating of dental protocols.
- Attends continuing education programs to maintain licensure.
- Participates in in-service education programs.
- Refers to and consults with other providers of primary care staff team.
- Promotes preventive oral hygiene care within the community.
- Supervises dental assistants, dental hygiene students, dental hygienists and dental students.
- Oversees and coordinates with MOSDOH for student experiences.
- Knowledge of the EDR/EMR including appropriate and timely documentation.
- 14. Write prescriptions for antibiotics and other necessary medications.
- 15. Maintains OSHA and universal precautions standards.
- 16. Performs other duties as assigned.
