Affiliated Foods Inc. is seeking a professional Specialty Foods Category Manager to join its’ team. Must have a minimum of one year specialty/natural foods retail experience in the food industry with an emphasis in sales and marketing principles. Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred. Candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of multiple product lines, including but not limited to: negotiating with suppliers, promotions, advertising, maintaining files and merchandising.
Additional responsibilities as follows:
· Identifying, researching & selecting quality products and material
· Analyzing & negotiating market trends/pricing to make insightful decisions
· Working with warehouse and vendors transportation teams to ensure retailers orders are delivered on time
· Communicating with retailers on new items, surveys and order status
· Maintaining up-date product information files
· Developing and growing vendor/supplier/customer relationships
· Working independently and/or a team to forecast business needs
· Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, & handle several on-going projects
· Perform other duties as requested by Specialty Foods Director
Must be meticulous with excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to multi-task and efficiently complete assignments in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Must be self- motivated, self-directed, able to work independently as well as a team. Must display a prominent level of professionalism, confidentiality and competent customer service in order to communicate with various levels of management within Affiliated Foods, including its’ subsidiaries, buyers, vendors, member stores, distributors, auditors, etc. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). AS400 a plus. Extensive data entry and ten-key by touch with accuracy in numbers. Will work directly under the Director of Purchasing and complete all other assigned duties as instructed.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
