JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Supervisor to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Admits and orients new clients
- Plans recreational activities
- Supervises client work and study programs.
- Hires, trains and supervises residential staff.
- Develops policies and procedures which encourage client independence
- Compiles schedules, records, and reports of daily activities.
- Investigates reports of misconduct and attempts resolution.
- Selects, assigns, and supervises activities of volunteers.
- Relieves residential counselors as required.
- Updates client database.
- Keeps in contact with clients who have graduated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years’ experience in residential center (blind and/or deaf-blind preferred) with two years supervisory experience. Knowledge of American Sign Language and a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University
