Position Summary The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards. This role will maintain SQF, GMP, and HACCP programs, support audits, and oversee traceability and recall procedures in accordance with FDA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the SQF (Safe Quality Food) program, including documentation and audit readiness
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout production and warehouse operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP plans and food safety procedures
- Conduct routine inspections, quality checks, and internal audits
- Manage product traceability and assist with recall procedures in accordance with FDA regulations
- Maintain accurate QA records, logs, and documentation
- Support SQF, FDA, and third-party audits
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Train employees on food safety, GMP, and quality procedures
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or manufacturing (food or beverage industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of SQF, GMP, and HACCP systems
- Experience with FDA regulations and recall procedures
- HACCP certification required or willingness to obtain
- SQF Practitioner certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
