Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo is currently seeking a full-time hard-working, energetic team player who takes pride in their work to fulfill the position of Assistant Project Manager.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager assists Project Managers with planning and coordinating activities concerned with the construction and installation of terrazzo flooring systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Confer with superintendents, contractors, and/or other project related personnel to discuss and assist with the resolution of matters, such as work preparation, processes and procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
- Assist with the administrative aspects of planning, scheduling, or coordinating construction project activities to meet deadlines.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders related to project labor and materials, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Assist with the preparation contracts and/or other project related documentation.
- Assist with the implementation of quality control.
- Assist with the implementation of new or modified plans in response to delays or construction site issues.
- Assist with obtaining all necessary permits or licenses.
- Communicate with project related personnel.
- Assist with organizing labor requirements and dispatching workers to construction sites.
- Requisition supplies or materials to complete construction projects.
- Assist with the development creative solutions to problems.
- Complete all activities with a pride of ownership.
- Develop relationships with architects, contractors and others in the construction community.
- Other duties as assigned.
General requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must know Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
- Must be self-motivated, accountable, punctual, and professional in communications.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both. internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School education with some college preferred.
- Administrative experience within the construction industry strongly preferred.
