Affectionately Cats Feline Veterinary Hospital and Boarding Suites in Williston, VT, is Vermont’s only feline-exclusive hospital! Privately owned, we foster a culture that our team loves being a part of. We are currently seeking a full-time certified veterinary technician (CVT) to join our growing team.

Since opening in 1993, Affectionately Cats has focused on exceptional patient care and client service by investing in our team’s wellbeing and continued growth. We’re seeking someone who embraces new technology and medical advancements, and is eager to share their knowledge, experience, and compassion with our patients, clients, and team. As a certified veterinary technician (CVT) with Affectionately Cats, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

· Possessing a diploma in Veterinary Technology and maintaining current licensure (Highly preferred)

· Bringing a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience (Highly preferred)

· Applying AAFP Cat Friendly and/or Fear Free handling techniques or interest in obtaining certification (Highly preferred)

· Performing dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring, and pain management with confidence and precision

· Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography

· Ensuring compliance with DEA and OSHA standards and protocols

· Updating and maintaining electronic medical records with accuracy and efficiency

· Providing compassionate, professional client service and education

· Exhibiting strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail

· Navigating practice management software and Microsoft Suite with proficiency

We realize time spent with family or friends is vital, and we stive to provide a healthy work/life balance. Our hours are Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–5 PM. Weekends and evenings are off to prevent burnout, though opportunities to assist with boarding and sick patients on Saturdays and Sundays are available for those interested.
