Affectionately Cats Feline Veterinary Hospital, located in Williston, VT, is proud to be the state’s only feline exclusive hospital! We are seeking a part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian to aid us in providing the gold standard of care to our patients and clients.
Since opening in 1993, Affectionately Cats has focused on exceptional patient care and client service by investing in our team’s wellbeing and continued growth. Most staff participate in ongoing CE and training. The Associate DVM role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside our Medical Director—who founded the practice—allowing you to gain direct mentorship and support from their years of clinical and leadership experience. We’re seeking someone with a growth mindset who embraces new technology and medical advancements, and who is eager to share their knowledge, experience, and compassion with our patients, clients, and team. As an Associate DVM with Affectionately Cats, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:
- Maintaining active DVM licensure in Vermont along with DEA credentials.
- Applying knowledge and experience in AAFP Cat Friendly and/or Fear Free certified practices.
- Demonstrating strong expertise in animal anatomy, physiology, and internal medicine.
- Providing comprehensive preventive, critical, and emergency care.
- Performing soft tissue and dental surgeries with proficiency.
- Utilizing ultrasound effectively in diagnostics and treatment.
- Administering anesthesia, catheter placement, and venipuncture with skill.
- Conducting and interpreting laboratory diagnostics and radiology.
- Navigating practice management software (Avimark) with proficiency.
- Adhering to DEA and OSHA compliance standards.
- Communicating effectively with clients and fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
- Supporting a high ACT (average client transaction) while promoting a collaborative team culture.
