Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and a strong understanding of medical terminology. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Monitor for changes in patient conditions using EMR or EHR systems.
- Assist with mobility and transfers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks like laundry and cleaning.
- Support clients with catheter care and other specialized medical needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques is essential.
- CPR certification is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or hospice care is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A caring attitude towards patients combined with the ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
