DeWitts Radiator, a division of AFCO Performance Group, is seeking a highly motivated Assembly Technician to join our growing team.
Daily activities include pulling and prepping components for radiator core assembly, ensuring components meet general quality requirements, operating core building machinery, and conducting brazing operations. You will use and operate various hand tools and semi-automated equipment to perform daily tasks. In addition, you will flex to many different work areas in the plant, as needed, to gain additional skills.
We are looking for a team member that enjoys goal setting and teaming up to exceed expectations. We work in a climate-controlled environment, Monday through Thursday from 5:30am to 4:00pm. There are NO work hours on Saturdays and Sundays. The most successful team members adapt well to change, notice details naturally, and sincerely care about others & enjoy a family-like atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Complete initial assembly of various products in a fast-paced production facility
- Maintain quality control standards to ensure product meets specifications
- Interpret work orders and recognize goals
- Keep a clean and safe work environment
- Operate a Hi-Lo (training and annual certification provided)
- Operate hand tools and equipment (metal saws, braze furnace, stamping machines)
- Familiarity with Metric and US measuring standards
- Maintain good attendance in accordance with our attendance policy
- Good oral communication skills
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent pinching, grasping, fine manipulation with fingers, reaching overhead
- Constant walking, standing, and working with your hands for an entire shift
- Frequent bending/reaching, twisting
- Ability to frequently lift 30 lbs., rarely lift < 50 pounds, occasionally carry <50 lbs. and rarely push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of previous manufacturing or trades work experience
- A postsecondary degree, apprenticeship, or certificate is preferred
- Enthusiasm, passion, and pride in your work
- Recognize and acknowledge the high moral quality and goodwill of the Company
- Capable of working as part of a team and following instruction from a supervisor
- Completion of background check and drug screening prior to employment
