Job Description
Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for both office and production positions within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that staffing needs across all departments are met promptly to support organizational goals and operational schedules. The recruiter will work closely with department managers to identify talent requirements, manage the full recruitment cycle, and maintain a pipeline of skilled applicants for administrative, technical, and production roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and post job advertisements across multiple platforms (really, LinkedIn, internal portals, etc.)
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for office and production roles such as administrative staff, engineers, supervisors, operators, and technicians
- Collaborate with department heads to define hiring needs, job requirements, and selection criteria
- Conduct background checks, reference verifications, and employment eligibility processes
- Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records of all applicants.
- Coordinate interviews, tests, and assessments with hiring managers and candidates
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations in all hiring practices
- Participate in job fairs, career events, and partnerships with technical schools or training centers
- Develop and maintain relationships with local employment agencies and workforce development organizations
- Provide reports on recruitment status, hiring metrics, and turnover trends
- Support onboarding and orientation of new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 4-5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Familiarity with labor regulations, technical job classifications, and shift-based workforce management
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Experience using online job boards for sourcing and screening candidates
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple requisitions under tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
