The Senior Accountant reporting to the Controller. Activities and responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
Accounts Receivable/Collections:
- Process cash applications (ACH, Check, Credit card)
- Consolidated billing for certain customers
- Respond to questions regarding billing issues and make calls regarding overdue invoices.
- Process routine credit card transactions for customers
- Process all credits, corrections and/or allowances as approved
- Update/maintain sales tax forms as needed
Accounts Payable:
- Process overseas wire payments
General Ledger/Month-end
- Run aging reports and inventory reports at month-end
- Reconcile total cash applications to system applications at month-end
- Process Monthly Bank Reconciliation
- Assist with account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries
- Assist with Interim and year-end audits
General Finance duties
- Assist with daily weekly reporting
- File sales tax returns as necessary
- Document procedures and file documents as necessary
- Open tickets with IT/ERP support as necessary
- Assist Controller as necessary
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred but not required.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an Entry level accounting position and Education or 1-3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Prophet 21 preferred but not required.
Professional Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to multi-task when necessary
- Good inter-personal skills
