Job Description:
AFC Industries PA, Inc. a manufacturing company located in Berwick, PA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team. We are a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of Ergonomic Interactive Technical products for various industries. Our customers include Medical/Healthcare, Public Safety/Mission Control, All Government Agencies, IT and Financial Corporations.
Shift: First Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance programs to support safe and reliable operations.
- Oversee, direct, and schedule maintenance team activities in alignment with the manufacturing schedule.
- Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment and facility systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues; conduct root-cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Repair, rebuild, and/or replace manufacturing and facility equipment as needed.
- Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time and all work is properly documented.
- Maintain adherence to safety standards and ensure proper use of tools, machinery, and mobile equipment.
- Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality teams to resolve maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Train and support team members, helping to develop technical skills and capabilities of less experienced personnel.
- Update and maintain SOPs and work instructions to reflect current processes and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall plant performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply maintenance and repair techniques.
- Experience with HVAC and electrical issues/repairs
- Capability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Commitment to safety practices and following established procedures.
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
