About the Role

A Business Central (BC) Technician will provide internal support and basic administration for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role focuses on resolving day-to-day operational issues, assisting users, and supporting integrations and application setups. The position is hands-on and support-oriented, not a development role.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Serve as the primary internal support contact for Business Central issues
• Respond to and resolve BC support emails and requests
• Correcting inventory and production-related location information
• Reversing shipments and associated transaction records
• Modifying import files to prevent processing errors
• Cancelling sales orders and related records
• Provide general troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Troubleshoot queues and data issues related to Data
• Assist users with setup customization, preferences, and basic configuration
• Escalate complex issues to IT, developers, or external vendors as needed
• Document common issues and resolutions
• Explain basic workflow functionality to point users in the right direction
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related fields
• Experience with BC one year
• Manufacturing or production environment experience
• Prior internal application or ERP support experience
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
