Job Description Director, Global Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Global Scope | Strategic Impact | Manufacturing Focus At AFB International, we lead the pet food industry in palatability solutions—and we do it with safety, sustainability, and innovation at the core. We’re seeking a forward-thinking Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) to shape and drive our global EHS strategy across all operations. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who’s passionate about building best-in-class programs that go beyond compliance to create a true culture of safety. What You’ll Do: Lead EHS Strategy: Develop and execute a global roadmap that aligns with company values and positions AFB in the top quartile for EHS performance. Drive Compliance & Excellence: Oversee global regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and proactive safety, health, and environmental practices. Influence & Partner: Collaborate across engineering, HR, operations, and site leaders to implement systems, training, audits, and change management initiatives. Enable Continuous Improvement: Use data-driven insights, audits, and incident analysis to drive improvements in EHS processes, safety culture, and performance metrics. Develop Talent: Build and lead a strong EHS team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and employee engagement. What You Bring: Bachelor’s in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field (Master’s preferred) 10 years of progressive EHS leadership, with global and manufacturing experience Deep knowledge of regulatory standards and EHS systems Strong communicator and influencer with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset Proven ability to analyze risk, lead change, and build cross-functional partnerships; Lean/Six Sigma background preferred Why Join Us?
