The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organization's mission or are seldom handled.
EXPERIENCE: Must have one year of experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or next lower pay band of NJ-01 in the federal service which includes knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles and concepts, unique supplies, equipment and parts requiring unusual degree of protection in shipment and storage, and determine the best method of procurement and other issues that influence supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
Ideal Candidate: Candidate has administrative experience with 2 years of customer service desired. Be familiar with military administrative programs to assist with retirements, promotions, assignments, fitness requirements, etc.. Skilled in operational management to maintain personnel records and trackers in an organized and efficient manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions.
2. Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
3. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.
4. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals,
catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
5. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate
from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
6. Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Responsibilities:
- Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
- Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
- Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
- Prepares recurring and special reports.
- Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.
Salary : $40,736
