Job Overview
The Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate seeks to hire a motivated and experienced Logistics Management Specialist in the Engineering and Services Support Branch of the Integration and Operations Division. This position will be filled at the GS-12 level and is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. This posting closes on 16 Jun 22.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of duties requiring knowledge and skill in applying logistics management principles, methods and techniques to meet logistics requirements.
- Leads development and maintenance of the Directorate's Continuity of Operations (COOP)/Emergency Management (EM) plans
- Represents AFRL/RX officials at AFRL Wright Site and AFRL/HQ conferences to advise on current and future status of logistics/emergency preparedness policies, plans and programs in support of AF scientific research and development.
- Represents AFRL/RX at process improvement events directed at any aspect of logistics/emergency preparedness.

Required Qualifications

- Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Examples of specialized experience consist of one year of experience performing Air Force Logistics program functions AND/OR tool control and equipment custodian responsibilities, AND/OR precision measurement equipment laboratory functions, AND/OR work with contract officer representatives (COR), AND/OR program execution in support of research and development programs. Must have experience with and be able to successfully utilize DoD and Air Force database systems for asset accountability, equipment purchase and tracking, and contractor performance reporting.
- COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To ensure compliance with an applicable nationwide preliminary injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees.
