Role Summary:

The Technical project manager leads one or more teams responsible for the development and maintenance of complex applications for Aezion Clients. Responsibilities involve (a) Serving as a proxy for Client and go-to subject matter expert for Team Members through immersion with and deep understanding of the Client Vision of Success, (b) Ensuring that the organization ‘Gets it right’ by leading productive discovery and application requirements development and documentation efforts, (c) Developing and orchestrating project plans (in collaboration with group leads and team leads) that ensure development, testing and deployment, and post deployment application support that achieves the Client Vision of Success.


Responsibilities:

• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on client requirements, a trusted advisor on how to leverage custom software to integrate and improve efficiency of other applications within the client's ecosystem.

• Understand the impact and importance of requests coming from various stakeholders to roadmap major initiatives.

• Communicate with mid-to-senior level client stakeholders from marketing, technology, and executive management.

• Act as a liaison and primary facilitator between internal and external teams

• Collaborate with group leads and team leads to coordinate a symphony of teams and team members (Business Analyst, UX Designer, Technical Architect, Developers, and QA Engineers) to deliver the Client’s Vision of Success and The Aezion Promise

• Create and maintain project budgets and timelines; proactively track and correct variance from the project bid, scope, or timetable.

• Develop budgets and proposals for new initiatives; review estimates and provide input to statement of work as required.

• Keep all Client stakeholders in the know, via status reports and other forms of communication.

• Proactively identify Client risks or opportunities and help manage the project team to effectively respond.

• Assign, monitor, and direct workflow by setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goals.

• Organize and coordinate client milestone demos and other key meetings.

• Create management, communication plans and processes.

• Analyze and develop procedures for management and technical duties.

• Participate in how budget and staff are allocated for the project.

• Other tasks include allocating company resources, conducting software team meetings, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing team member performance appraisals.

• End to end execution of projects.

• You need to enjoy working directly with clients and maintaining client relationships.

• You have a proactive mindset that supports your success on a small team. In other words, when you see something that needs to be done, you take it on without thinking twice.

• You have top-notch oral and written communication skills and have mastered the art of collaborating with clients, designers, and developers alike.

• You’re charming - coworkers and clients love you, and more importantly trust you.

• You can effectively communicate ideas in a presentation setting.

• You have excellent team building, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

• You have a genuine enthusiasm for the work you do, exude positive energy, and can maintain a sense of humor under pressure.

• Bilingual ability is helpful due to the international nature of many software projects.

• Willing to work with SLA based projects.

• Making sure projects are not getting into the state of Jeopardy*.


Qualifications & Experience

• At least 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Scrum master’s in software or web development

• At least 5 years of experience as technical lead with Microsoft programming tech stack.

• Experience working in agency/vendor and/or Client environments.

• Microsoft tech stack familiarity is a must.

• Scrum certified and experience working in Agile environments.

• Experience working with offshore, multi-time zone development teams.

• Willing to interact with clients from United States.

• PMP Certification (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
