Essential Functions
- Supports the evaluation of existing manufacturing processes to improve them, working broadly from supply chain to business systems to help things run smoothly.
- Assists with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by assisting with analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and process quality by designing and implementing testing methods where required.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
- Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.

- General understanding of CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Ability to interoperate and explain mechanical and electrical drawings to production technicians.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be flexible in various work scenarios to adjust priorities needed to meet evolving requirements and challenges.
- Demonstrative ability to be proactive and take initiate to during day to day tasks
- Ability to work independently, confidently making decisions to guide other towards project goals
- Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas, provide guidance and collaborate with other team members.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in the industry
- Defense manufacturing is a plus
- Experience with an MRP system is a plus
- Experience working with contract manufacturing is a plus
