Gas Scheduler - Downstream

Aethon Energy Operating LLC’s (“Aethon”) Gas Scheduler – Downstream is responsible for the natural gas scheduling activities on downstream pipeline systems within Commercial portfolio. Responsible for the input of downstream scheduling activities within company’s TIES (Trilogy Effective’s The Integrated Energy System) transactional software. Works closely with Marketing and Midstream Scheduling to meet commercial obligations.

DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform monthly and daily scheduling activities on downstream pipelines utilizing firm and interruptible transportation agreements to support commercial transactions
• Ensure that all nominations are submitted timely and meet pipeline’s scheduling requirements
• Monitor pipeline scheduling cycles for reduction to nominations and coordinate with Marketing and Midstream Scheduling to adjust accordingly
• Monitor pipeline and transportation agreement imbalances
• Assist Marketing, Midstream Scheduler and Operations in reacting to disruptions to production
• Monitor downstream EBBs and communicate any impacts to operational and commercial business
• Responsible for the TIES setup for monthly and daily activities for areas of responsibility
• Obtain and verify data from internal and external sources throughout the month of business and update TIES for adjustments to downstream scheduling activities
• Approve and provide support in the actualization of TIES transactions based on verified settlement statements
• Work closely with TIES administrator regarding setup of new facilities and contracts associated with all downstream scheduling activity
• Assist in resolving monthly settlement discrepancies for areas of responsibility
• Available to provide gas scheduling assistance and/or evening and weekend rotation
• Assist in development of management reports
• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Finance/Accounting or a technical field (e.g. computer science or engineering) is required
• Proficient in the use of computers and software, specially Microsoft Office

Personal & Soft Skills:

• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, detail oriented and flexible as priorities and direction may change on short notice
• Demonstrated strong organizational and customer service skills along with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• The ability to establish priorities, manage multiple activities and communicate at all levels in the organization
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team

Physical & Other Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Successful candidate will be able to meet company standard background check specific to individual role prior to employment and will be subject to Company Drug & Alcohol Program
• Position is an indoor office position which will require remaining in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time
• Available to provide gas scheduling assistance and/or evening and weekend rotation
