What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Coordinator position at Aetas Education?
Key Responsibilities:
- Support primary counselors in monitoring student application progress, deadlines, and next steps.
- Maintain and update academic and application timelines, including class schedules, testing dates, assignment deadlines, and application milestones.
- Collect, organize, and securely store student materials, including transcripts, resumes, activity lists, essays, recommendation-related documents, and other application materials.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings between students, parents, counselors, instructors, and internal team members.
- Take clear meeting notes, record action items, and share updates with the appropriate team members.
- Track completion of assigned tasks and follow up with students or families when materials or responses are missing.
- Identify potential delays, missing documents, or communication gaps and report them to the appropriate team members in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree or background related to education is preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in education, academic support, student services, administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin required.
- Sponsorship may be provided based on performance.
