Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Dermatology

About Us

Aesthetix Dermatology is seeking a friendly, organized and motivated Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience.

The ideal candidate has previous medical front desk experience, a strong understanding of insurance verification, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Dermatology experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow with our practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience from check in through check out
• Manage patient check in and check out, including registration, demographic updates, appointment scheduling, and collection of payments.
• Verify medical insurance eligibility, benefits, copays, deductibles and patient financial responsibility.
• Obtain and review necessary patient information, referrals and authorizations when applicable.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Collect copays, outstanding balances and payments for medical and cosmetic services.
• Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Communicate effective with providers, clinical staff, and fellow front desk team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with additional administrative responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous medical front desk experience required.
• Experience verifying medical insurance eligibility and benefits strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance plans, copays, deductibles, and referrals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy medical office.

Dermatology experience and familiarity with EMA are a plus, but not required.
