The Patient Care Specialist position provides a friendly and efficient patient and guest experience. Responsible for answering telephones, greeting customers, directing and responding to new patient leads, handling in-person transactions, maintaining patient files and distributing daily correspondence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma.
- Computer skills including Google Workspace, email, texting including basic typing, English and mathematical skills.
- Experience in a similar capacity involving direct communication with the public, preferably in a medical or retail setting.

- Outstanding telephone manner.
- Exceptional personal organizational skills.

- Takes initiative to solve problems and complete projects.
- Appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations.
- English and Spanish fluency is a huge plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets and orients patients as they arrive for their appointments.
- Answers the phone in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Maintains organized patient files.
- Confirms with each patient upon each visit that patient information on file with the practice is accurate and up-to-date. Accurately records updates and corrections as needed.
- Assists patients as they check out, i.e., scheduling next appointment, accepting payment, etc.
- Patient scheduling, appointment reminders and follow up.
- Manage new patient leads and emails.
- Maintains proper office opening and closing procedures.'
