What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at Aeschbach Automotive LLC?

This is not a “learn as you go” position.
You MUST have experience as a Shop Foreman and/or Service Advisor in an automotive repair environment.
If you haven’t led in a shop, managed workflow, and handled clients directly—this is not the role for you.

WHAT THIS ROLE REALLY IS
You are stepping into a leadership position that replaces the owner in daily operations.
You will:
- Lead service advisors
- Run workflow and production
- Own communication between techs and clients
- Drive revenue and performance
You are the one who makes the shop run right.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Advisor performance (sales, follow-up, communication)
- Shop workflow (no bottlenecks, no delays)
- Parts ordering job progression
- Client experience from start to finish
- Daily production and revenue
If something is off—you fix it.
WHO YOU ARE
You are NOT passive.

- A closer (you can turn inspections into approved work)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Previous Shop Foreman and/or Service Advisor experience
- Experience managing technicians and workflow
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and close work
If you haven’t done these things before—this is not the role.
TECH & TOOLS
- Comfortable with shop management systems (Tekmetric or similar)
- Strong with computers, texting, and digital communication
- Open to using AI tools like ChatGPT to improve speed and communication
