Vice President of Operations Position Summary
The Vice President of Operations will oversee the performance and growth of 125–200 Arby’s restaurants, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and adherence to brand standards. This executive leader will be responsible for driving results through strategic planning, execution, and leadership of a team of Directors and Area Supervisors. This role requires significant experience in fast food operations, proven P&L management expertise, and direct oversight of at least five senior-level reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Direct and oversee day-to-day operations across 125–200 Arby’s restaurants.
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, food safety, and guest service excellence.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
- Financial Management
- Full P&L responsibility.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to maximize profitability.
- Identify and implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Directors of Operation.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership training and succession planning to strengthen bench talent.
- Strategic Growth
- Partner with executive leadership on expansion, remodels, and new unit openings.
- Collaborate with real estate and development teams to identify market opportunities.
- Ensure operational readiness for new restaurants.
- Uphold Arby’s brand values and standards across all units.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in fast food/QSR operations.
- Demonstrated success managing large multi-unit portfolios (100 units).
- Strong P&L management experience with proven ability to deliver financial results.
- Minimum of 5 direct reports in prior leadership roles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
