What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Therapy Coordinator position at Aervita Integrative Medicine + Hyperbarics?
Job Title: Wellness Therapy Coordinator
Location: Edina, MN
Company: Aervita Integrative Medicine Hyperbarics
Pay: $24–$30/hour, based on experience
About Us:
Aervita is a small, cutting-edge integrative medicine and hyperbaric clinic in Edina, MN. We blend conventional and complementary therapies to help patients feel like themselves again — and we get to see it happen in real time. If you're looking for healthcare work that's actually uplifting (not another shift in a hospital hallway), this is it. Our patients choose to be here, they're invested in their own healing, and they're genuinely great people to work with every day.
Position Overview:
We're looking for a long-term team member — not a stepping-stone hire. This is a real career opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a clinic, not cycle through it. As our Wellness Therapy Coordinator, you'll be at the center of everything: running cutting-edge wellness technology like our hyperbaric oxygen chambers, guiding patients through their treatments, and keeping the clinic running like clockwork. Most days, you'll be the face of Aervita on-site, so we need someone confident, capable, and genuinely invested in doing this for years to come.
If you love the idea of mastering advanced equipment, building real relationships with patients, and being a true right-hand to our care team — rather than just clocking in and out — we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers, following safety protocols.
- Open and close the clinic independently, following established procedures and maintaining security.
- Conduct patient assessments and prepare individuals for treatments.
- Provide assistance with ambulation, transfer, positioning, and ROM according to activity order and needs of the patient.
- Assist patients with Light Therapy and PEMF Therapy.
- Handle receptionist duties, including answering phone calls, scheduling patients, and collecting payments.
- Educate patients on therapies and expected outcomes.
- Monitor patients during sessions, address issues, and respond to emergencies.
- Make observations and maintain accurate records of treatments and progress.
- Notify hyperbaric supervisor/physician immediately of changes in patient condition.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals on patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean workspace environment and carry out small repetitive tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's or Vocational degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Respiratory Therapist).
- Excellent patient bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage receptionist tasks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
- Certified Hyperbaric Technologist - International Board of Undersea Medicine certification required within 1-1/2 years (facilitated by clinic).
- BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required within 4 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a wellness, healthcare, or spa environment preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate therapeutic equipment confidently.
- Comfortable managing administrative tasks and point-of-sale transactions.
- Responsible, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- A friendly and professional demeanor with a genuine interest in holistic health and patient care.
- Looking to settle into a long-term role and grow with a stable, close-knit team.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently (Aervita Safe Patient Moving Policy).
- Standing, bending, and reaching as required for patient care and equipment maintenance.
Work Hours:
- Approximately 40 hours per week. Tentative schedule: 7:45am–5:15pm Monday–Thursday, 7:45am–3:15pm Friday.
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
Why Join Us:
- Work with genuinely exciting, results-driven health technology — not a typical clinical grind.
- A stable, full-time schedule and the chance to build a lasting career here, not just a job.
- Supportive, close-knit team environment where you'll be a key part of patient outcomes.
- Competitive pay ($24–$30/hour) with clinic benefits.
- Ongoing professional development and training.
- Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
- Small, cutting-edge integrative health care clinic with a friendly environment and a patient base that's a pleasure to work with.
