Position Summary
Aertssen is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Paint team. The Vehicle Technician position is responsible for repairing and restoring the exterior of equipment by performing cosmetic work such as sanding, filling, painting, and refinishing, ensuring machines are delivered in visually excellent condition and meet quality standards.

Pay Rate: $31.00 per hour
Hours: M-F, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Eastern Time
Position Summary
Aertssen is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Paint team. The Vehicle Technician position is responsible for repairing and restoring the exterior of equipment by performing cosmetic work such as sanding, filling, painting, and refinishing, ensuring machines are delivered in visually excellent condition and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
Cosmetic Repair and Paint Duties
- Identify and assess cosmetic damage on equipment, including scratches, dents, and rust.
- Perform bodywork using filler, sanding, priming, and refinishing techniques.
- Mix and apply paint, primers, and coatings using spray equipment and hand tools.
- Ensure surface preparation and paint application meet quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of work completed through the app.
Maintenance and Safety Duties
- Clean and maintain painting tools, spray booths, and work areas.
- Safely handle and store paint, fillers, and other chemicals.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with the paint team to ensure machines are ready for painting.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment before painting, including masking and disassembly if needed.
All this is always carried out taking into account our company's quality, environmental, and health policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive or industrial painting and bodywork.
- Strong knowledge of fillers, paints, solvents, and other refinishing materials.
- Skilled in sanding, prepping, masking, and finishing surfaces.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently and follow technical guidelines.
- Awareness of safety protocols when working with hazardous materials.
- Proficiency in operating construction equipment, aerial work platforms, and forklifts is preferred.
- Adaptability to changing warehouse environments (warehouse is non-climate-controlled).
