Job Description

The Commercial Install/Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. This role requires knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC units.
• Utilize skills in refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, and electronic control systems.
• Perform pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and work with mechanical layouts.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 2 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read schematics and work plans.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• EPA certification preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.

Work Environment

Work throughout Western New York to service commercial HVAC units. Our team operates in various markets including industrial, education, healthcare, medical/research, retail, historic preservation, and multi-unit residential. The work environment is dynamic, with opportunities to diversify expertise and manpower across different projects and locations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, New York.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
